Bluetooth Died...

I just want to thank you guys for this post. I've been having a problem with my phone for a few weeks and am officially out of warranty. I was just contemplating taking it in to have them fix it after the multiple resets didn't work... UNTIL I saw the picture that X3eme posted. MY BLUETOOTH is working, and my boyfriend now thinks I can fix anything!

Bad week, started with a storm, dead battery and no bluetooth. You thread was spot on. Couldn't wait, followed instructions. THANKS

I just bought and installed the (Argos for BMW) Bluetooth module from EIS for my 2008 X3si. It is the easiest plug & play mod I believe I have ever seen, as well as costing under $300. I had to buy a microphone from the dealer for $34,00 (which took longer to find the plug that was glued up above somewhere) than to install it. I highly recomend this option for anyone looking to get Bluetooth for your X3. The manufactured EIS @ http://www.eiskits.com/ should answer all your questions as they did me. I just wanted to say thanks for this. Some months ago the Bluetooth started playing up in our X3. Two BMW dealers couldn't help (but would no doubt have diagnosed for a fee and sold us a new module), the local third party BMW expert couldn't help, my usual Euro service centre couldn't help, in the end Dr Google led me here and a simple cable-pull later we're up and running with Bluetooth goodness once more.

Glad it worked out for you. Some times its not always the blue tooth in the car it could be the phone itself. One time thats what it was for me and I disconnected the battery in the phone and when I reconnected the phone rebooted and everything was fine. Good luck

Yes, on my 2006 x3 it stopped for about a week and then all of a sudden I received a call on the blue tooth again. It's been working for the last 3 weeks now.

Tried briefly to unplug mine but wouldn't come out! Any tips on getting it out?

You need to get the white lever going across it to lift. When you get that up, it should push out the connector....no huge pulling force needed.

Managed to get it out. Had it unplugged for 10 seconds but didn't work
