2013 BMW 335i Sedan (european delivery)

Hi,

I am planning to buy the 2013 335i sedan via ED. Here is the invoice I got from bmwconfig with the following options:

-navigation (non package)
-rear view camera (non package)
-front/rear parking sensors (non package)

ED invoice came out to be $40,565.

I already asked for quotes from two dealers, and they said they can do it for $750 and $770 over invoice. The $1000 holiday credit has not been factored in yet.

So here are my questions:

1) Is that a reasonable price over invoice or can it be lower?
2) Can the invoice be negotiated lower as well?
3) Is rear view camera really necessary if I have the parking sensors?

Thanks.

Hi-
here are my answers:
1) It can be lower and how much lower depends on whether or not the $1,000 has already been deducted- the $1,000 credit should be deducted from the invoice price. I think $750 over that price is a good deal although I'm sure there are people who have done better. Do you qualify for the loyalty credit? Also, I think the BMW app credit is still available?
2) See #1
3) I can't help you there. I can say that the head-up display that comes with the technology package is pretty awesome so you may want to consider that package. I know I'm answering a question that wasn't asked.

Good luck!

I like Shake's answers (particularly on the tech package).

The $1k should be considered cap cost reduction or down payment and not in the purchase price just like any other credit you get. Most people ordering cars get between $500 and $1000 over invoice (though it varies on the car). $750 is a good deal, and what I got when I ED'd my 335 4 years ago.

It should be noted that 750 over is a good del but the dealers are not giving you a complete picture. They may be trying to add a dealer fee, bump acq fee up 200 and bump the MF the max .0004. All those things will be used to increase profit. Also Ed bumps mF 3 points as well.

+1 on tech package
