Auto 1992 525i

I never felt like my car got the mpg it said and I replaced the fuel pump and now it went down 6 mpg on avg its saying im getting 15.6 mpg is that right? Is that really low? Amy help would be great thanks!

If your numbers are actually calculated MPG, then something is definitely amiss. I average about 25 mpg, but I drive like the old fart that I am and most of my driving is highway driving.

If you have not done so already, then I suggest you do a true calculation on the MPG. The computer does ok, but it's not always accurate. If you have, and you are getting only 6 MPG, I would look for a leak in the fuel system somewhere. Check the fuel line connections to the fuel pump to see if they are wet. Trace the fuel lines from the tank to the engine and look for leaks. It's hard for the M50 to use that much fuel. Your exhaust would be almost black from running so rich.

No no it says im getting like 16 mpg approximately
