Lightbulb ActiveHybrid 3 Series Rims and Tires

Pre-order my vehicle and took delivery however it was spent with the default hybrid tires (5 spoke, chrome and black) versus the multiple spoke rims (all silver).

I was never informed and I saw no bulletin but the dealer said BMW Manu, delivered the car with the default rims because it was design for the hybrids which allows for better mpg. In addition the tires are design for better coasting.

The dealer is willing to switch out my rim and tires for the multiple spoke (seen on the luxury option) warns it will greatly reduce my overall mpg. Can anyone provide guidance?

Thanks

I can't imagine it will reduce the mpg significantly

It will not greatly reduce mpg. It may slightly reduce mpg.

They did say going from the 17" hybrid to the 18" luxury wheels/tires takes a few MPG off the euro cycle... But I think at most you're gonna lose 5 to 10 percent.

The AH3-exclusive black/sliver five spoke rims like the OP got are actually 18". And they only come with all-season tires. Which is not a good thing. I went with style 400M.

Ah didn't know that. In that case, the fuel economy difference is extremely negligible.
