E63 / E64 6 Series (2003 - 2013)
The E63/E64 BMW 6 Series builds on BMW's sporty heritage with aggressive lines and an incredible motor to back the design up. Available in coupe and convertible trims with a standard 4.8 liter engine producing 360 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque, the 6-series is a popular choice that exceeds expectations.

FROM 19" TO 21" Do I need lowered

Hi Guys,

I am going from 19 Elipsoids to 21" 128's on my 05 645. Do I need anything except spacers? Does it NEED to be lowered or do you just slap em on? If I need a wheel alignment do I do it with the new shoes? And lastly, how do I know they are OEM and not knockoffs. Too late to ask now but it would be good to know. Thanks

Lowering after plus sizing wheels is normally just for looks only. When you lower the sidewall thickness with a lower profile tire the gap between the tire and the fender looks bigger, it's an optical illusion.

You will see "BMW" and a BMW part number cast into the wheels, normally on the back of the wheel, if it's OEM. The Ellipsoids have the number cast on the front under the center cap.

21's will most likley fill the extra gap you do not have to lower it and get the wheel alignment done with the new rim and tire set up as per the "knockoff" issue Yorgi is on point as usual..
