Nav Screen

Hey guys, I brought my 6 in for servicing the other day and the service manager gave me his personal 2012 528 x drive to boot around with for the day... what a nice ride! One of the things I loved best was the size of the navigation screen!

When I look at my screen, its chopped up into 2 parts. One side, I run the navigation map, and the other side, my trip counter. The question I have... is it possible to run the map on the entire screen? I didnt see any options to do this, but its such a shame to have such a nice size screen and be limited to 2/3 of it used for the map.

Any ideas?

Hi! look through your Nav screen controls you will see split screen or full, you can change what you see on the right hand screen as well!!!!
Sounds like a case of "things I found out about my car after I had owned it for a while!"
PS provided you have the professional 8" screen????

Sorry it's not possible with the CCC system we have. I have the newer CIC on my '12 F10-528 and it does that and much more. Really a much nicer system in many ways. On the US models of our vintage you can't change the screen for full size nav.

I have the after market NAVVIDEO system and I can do the full screen with my back-up camera and additional video inputs, but it really just stretches the aspect ratio to fill the screen, like watching standard def 4x3x on a 16x9 set.

CIC is really a nice upgrade if you have $4k-$5K to spend.
