Aftermarket 20" rims on 2004 X5 question

Has anyone had any issues with putting aftermarket 20" rims on the 2004 X5? I am getting different answers from wheel companies as to what fits and what doesn't. Right now I'm looking at Konig Appeals.

I have never heard of any Konig wheels that will fit an X5. Those wheels are usually for the Japanese tuner market.

I'm currently running 20" Breyton Magic Sport and there are only a few other here that run aftermarket wheels also. There are a handful of well known aftmrkt/tuner companies such as: Hamann, ACSchintzer, Antera, Breyton, Alpina, etc that make wheels for X5.

Thanks, I had Breyton Spirits on my M3...kinda cool that they make them for the X5 as well.

I have my eyes on those Spirits (21") over the last little while. I think they look amazing. Any pics of them on your M3. Thanks!

Had to sell this thing, too speeding ticket prone in it. Now I'm looking to get a 2001 or so M5.

When I had the M3, these were the 19's.

Those Spirits look absolutely wicked on your M3.

BTW are u sure the E39 M5 would be less speeding ticket prone than the M3. Hmm, i dunno.

I know this is an old post, but I am a newbie, so I have read almost all of them in this forum.

What size tires are you all using with the 20's?? Are you experiencing any decrease in ride quality?? Any issues with rubbing (the tires rubbing, that is )??

OEM tires, 275/40/20's front 315/30/20 rear. With any enlargement in tire size there is always a ride quality change. As a tire gets wider it grabs more of the road and as the aspect ratio gets smaller (aka the middle number...like 40 and 30, which is a percentage of the overall width in mm) the ride gets harder. So in short, yes the ride quality is now tight more like a sports coupe then a SUV. Plus side, the vehicle grabs the road much better then with the 255 stock tires I had on the 18" rims.
