I would just put M techs on it. The car looks like its already dropped a bit and the wheels are really clean and good sized.

That is a sweet Touring you've got there. Very classy! You could go with m-techs if you choose, but it really needs nothing as it sits IMO.

This is my e39, on stock 15's lowered with NNR's.
did a Y cat + silencer delete
Front has 25mm spacers back has 30mm
Hood needs a respray (winter project)

Never seen any e39 pull off 15s so good. not saying it looks great on 15s but i would expect 15s to look 10X worse than that.

OP: What feel faster, your 4.6L X5 or your 4.4L 540i?

Just got this as an early Christmas present/replacement for my flipped land rover. I'm planning on "personalizing" it a little bit at a time. I wanna drop it about an inch, add a dynavin, new headlights eventually even though I just refinished the stocks, some black kidneys and some tint, etc.

Yeah how about first dropping a couple grand to overhaul that cooling system that could and will catastrophically fail, bringing that broken suspension back to stock spec, and replacing the fluids.

Also, you're dropping your suspension for looks or handling? If its for handling, take care of your tires first. With 16'' rims, you may as well tape pillows around it instead of tire.

16" tyres aren't as bad as you make them out. With judicious tyre selection it's entirely possible to improve the handling qualities of the car.
Going too low in the profile can and does adversely affect handling.
