Smile 2006 BMW 325xi Purchase

I am a newbie to this forum. I am possibly purchasing a 2006 BMW 325xi tomorrow for around $13k. It has 87,000 miles and looks like a solid ride. The CarFax looks clean and the car seems to be in beautiful shape (from the pictures). Does this seem to be a good deal? Should I expect a lot of maintenance issues in the near future? Sorry to seem so green, but I haven't purchased a BMW before.

If it's a 2006, it's likely an E90, not an E46.

Does the front end look kinda like this (E46):

or like that (E90):

Read the wiki at the top of the E46 / E90 page for detailed info about these cars, common issues, and reasonable maintenance guidelines.
Assuming the car has been maintained per BMW guidelines, you will need to spend some $$$ on bringing it up to snuff for long term use. BMW maintenance is a complete joke. Hopefully you got lucky and found one that had extra TLC from an enthusiast, but that is the exception. They're fantastic cars, but they need TLC and none of it is cheap unless you do the work yourself.

13k could be a steal if the car was maintained and has never had body work, or you could just be buying somebody else's trouble if you have no history on the car.

Read the wiki, get caught up on maintenance, and enjoy the car.
