back seats pass-through: permanent valet access to trunk?

Hey, just was researching how to get into my trunk if my car is experiencing a power failure when it occurred to me - does having a pass-through mean that the trunk is always accessible in some degree to a valet (or anyone inside of the car)?

Or is there some way to lock up the pass through?

I'd be surprised if the pass through is always available to whoever is in the car, because BMW went through the trouble of putting a fob remote/comfort-access lock-out switch inside the glove box. Then you can lock the glove compartment with the physical key, and slide that key out of the fob before handing it to the valet.

'course, the trunk can't use a physical key but that's another discussion :-)

If the E93 and E92 are the same (probably), then the only part of the seat that can be lowered without accessing the trunk is the center "armrest" part of the seats. From there, you can pop out the plastic storage box and reach into the trunk area. You can't get to every square inch, but if a valet could drive your car he could concievably shift the contents into reach with a little hard braking. Small items could be removed.

To lower the 60/40 seatbacks, you must access the releases within the trunk by opening the bootlid.
