2013 535i Audio Upgrade

Hi, all:

I just traded in my X5 for a 535i. One thing that I noticed immediately is that the audio is not as good as the X5.

Any recommendation on an audio upgrade? I searched on line and found BSW. Any suggestion?

I have an X5 and 5 series.... for my taste.... mid and highs were fine so I add a powered subwoofer.... big improvment. Just changing speakers didnt make much difference IMO

I am so glad my ears suck. The "upgraded" factory system sounds fine to me. Saves me a lot of $$

Try Reus Systems at www.reusaudio.com for a completely stealth system. One if the main components is a subwoofer system but there is a lot more that goes into it. I'm on my 4th system. Reasonable for what you get for a full system that us fully transferable and warrantied for life.

Is that just a plug and play sub...or did you have to have it installed by a professional?

I just picked up a 535 with premium audio last night and I adjusted the equalizer based on this thread and the result sound quality is really quite good. Not as good as the ML system on my 08 LS460 but certainty good enough for most day to day usage..

I am not so lucky. I wouldn't say that I have golden ears but I am definitely disappointed with the current sound quality. I'll be looking to upgrade the audio sometime in the future.

++1! I'm very satisfied with mine as well. It sounds pretty good especially when I play pandora through iPhone Bluetooth.

I have the upgraded "premium" sound systems in both my X5 and my 535. Both sound pretty good to me. No complaints from my wife either.
