F10 Mirror Folding?

I see people talking about an option to fold the mirrors when you lock/unlock the vehicle but I haven't seen that option in any of the cheat sheets. Can someone point me to the required modules and options to enable this via fob and CA?

Mirror closing is a delayed action and happens when close key is held down for few seconds. This is set in CAS module.

Isn't that window closing?

Its for both Window Closing & Mirror fold - both happen after a long hold of the close button.

Straight from the F10 & F25 & Cheat Sheets:

KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB = Closes mirrors + windows + moon roof through Key Fob
KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_PA = Closes mirrors + windows + moon roof through Comfort Access

Ah, I see. Our old GLK could be programmed so the mirrors would fold/unfold after a single press of the lock/unlock and I was expecting something similar, which is why I was confused.

I prefer the way BMW has implemented as I dont want mirrors to move every time I press lock/ unlock buttons.

you can also do that using ncs expert and than car memory, there it is very easy to set.

My windows roll up but the mirrors don't move. F10 2013 with folding mirrors.


Any ideas?

CAS / KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB = aktiv
CAS / KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_PA = aktiv

You also need to code this one:

FRM / ASP_BEIKLAPPEN_BEI_KOMFORTSCHLIESSEN = aktiv

Did you code all three?

There have been many cheat sheets showing mirrors in the CAS - in my f01 it's in the FRM (for the e coders - Gm5)

On the mirrors not folding, I coded all 3 aktiv, but weird thing is the aktiv value is always paired with werte=00 rather than 01. If I code it with 01, it always goes back to nicht_aktiv. These are on the cas module. te frm is as what the cheatsheet says. Hence, my mirrors still don't fold but windows roll up with comfort access and key fob. Any ideas?

Do not get caught up on the Werte Values, as they differ on some Chassis. In general, always change only the dropdown box, from aktiv to nicht aktiv or vice versa, and let it change the Werte Value for you. In general, the Werte values themselves when they represent a state, such as on / off should not be directly edited. It is only when the Werte Value represents an actual value such as voltage, time, etc. that you directly edit it.

Go back and set everything to its default values, then change only the dropdown box, and then FDL Code it.

First of all, your welcome.

I guess you missed my point where I said it differs by chassis. If it is updated to reflect your chassis, then it will be wrong for other chassis'.

On my new unreleased Cheat Sheet version 4, to eliminate this confusion, I have only one column showing either the driopdown box value or the Werte Value, but not both.

Just changed the delay values to ZERO. Does not work, they fold first before the windows? I thought I read where people like me in the cold.... did not want the mirrors to close because of freezing in the winter. There is a video on youtube that shows then not folding?

Yeah, they are supposed to fold before the windows go up or down.

I'm used to only coding F30's, yours may be different.

CAS->3003 FH MASTER->KMFRT_SCHLIESSEN->Werte=00
(the default value is Werte=0F)
if you want no delay when locking the car with the FOB or comfort access.

Thanks I have done that, but I do not want the mirrors to fold in. What can I change to stop them.

Thanks octopump for providing the program setting for no delay. Now I can just lock the car & have the mirrors close witnout having to press on the FOB or door handle for more than 2sec. And this is my first attempt at coding too.
