Dealer got back to me and unfortunately he put in a used transmission with 50k miles on it.
He told me a new trany installed by BMW would run about $10k. I've decided to dump this car and get my money back, which he has agreed. I'm now looking at a lexus RX-something. Thanks |

Older Porsche Cayenne is supposed to be better than BMW in reliability. That is something to consider. Honda had a problem with their transmission due loading problem on their heavier cars like oddessy. It has since then been resolved as far as I can tell. That was an early 2000 problem if I recall. Personally, I would give BMW X5 another try. Sent from my LG-P999 using Bimmer App |
