VIN question - date car manufatured?

My car is a 1990 525i. Is there a manufature date somewhere on the car or do I have to break down the vin to know the manufature date?

I've discovered that there were some production changes made in my 1990 525i.
While looking for an air filter box & throttle possition sensor, that the date the car was manufactured makes a differance in these parts (parts listed on line as pre or post 6-1-90).
So my question is how do I deturmine date of manufature? Forgive my ignorance, I just bought this car 2 days ago & it's currently buerried in a heep of fresh snow, so I haven't had the chance to look all over the car to see if there is a manufaturer date on it somewhere.

Thank you, website exactly what I needed, and vary fast too!

I took a look at the stickers in the door jamb, nothing with a date on it.

That website gave me a wide range for production date. This website should give you more detailed information. http://www.rubmw.ru/vincode/eng/
