So you are going to drop $15k worth of mods on a $35k car that will get you may 20hp?
Why not just buy a 335i?

This is a first car -- I don't want as much speed as the 335i offers. I'd rather have a relatively slower car that I can modify and then upgrade to the 335i down the road.
Besides, I could effectively mod the 328i for $8K -- some of this is overpriced and/or unnecessary. Do people like the setup, though? Any questions/concerns? |

So you want to dump a bunch of money into a "slower" car for now and then when you are ready for a "faster" one, lose all that money that you spent on modding plus the depreciation value?

Skip all your engine mods and opt for the KW V1 instead of the V3. The rest is personal preference (which I agree will probably look pretty sharp). I'd also recommend considering side mirror cover plates rather than full mirror swaps - still a visual improvement but without the extreme cost for such a minor detail.

OK, I've decided to go with the 335i. Thanks for all of the input, and look forward to my COMPLETE modifications thread in the next day or so.
