Ideas for 'sporting up' an 07 SportWagon
Any ideas for tweaking the 328i Wagon and giving it a decent look? Pictures of beautiful packages would be especially helpful.
We sold the Mini Cooper and opted for an 07 328i Wagon when the baby came earlier this year. It's perfect for us in every way... flexibility, options, fuel economy... but there are some things that bother me. Specifically, the rear wheels are set in so deep the car looks like its tucking its tail or something! And why the 1" height disadvantage as compared to the sedans? I feel like we could use an extra inch or so getting in and out of the car (esp rear seat), and wonder if the extra height would not help the car look more proportionate (some angles make the car look loooong). Any thoughts on low-key mods would be appreciated. Nothing too crazy though, this will still be my wifes commuting car, and our family car. But that doesnt mean it must look wimpy! My thoughts: replacing the stock 16" rims with something sportier, but still OEM looking (not sure of type, size, offsets/spacers, etc). Currently running 205/55/16 all around. Also, a seamless roof rail system with deflector to add a little height (and carrying capacity during our trips). A seamless front lip to give it some oomph (?). Never saw a wagon with one, but I'm wondering out loud now. Lastly, is it possible to raise the rear only, an inch or so? It seems to drag ass a bit right now. Thanks for the thoughts/ideas/feedback! thanks for the link!
That first one looks fantastic, but that black wagon towards the end is killer!! Now I've gotta find out what wheel specs work for this car to achieve that look. |

For some wagon lovers in here, a "double wide" air mattress in the back is said to be the ideal "mod" for those romantic weekend escapes. Leave the kid with the grandparents.
