I see that now as some of my older posts on the E93 are popping up.

Ours has a wider end than the base models because of the Sport package with the 20s. The 19s get a wider rear end, but not as wide as with the 20s. With the Sports package you get wider rear quarter panels and fender put on to sustain the wider tires.

I actually did some research (due to boredom) on the width of the tires, and found out that the 20s that BMW uses are actually some of the widest stock tires for production vehicles (using recent vehicles for comparison). The only ones that I found that are wider. Were the Z06 / ZR1, Aventador, and Veyron (widest). Actually is kind of cool I think.

She is beautiful. My wife's 01 X5 is getting to her last leg... I would love a sports package... those 20's are amazing... But I'm fairly certain that it would be driven by wifey 90% of the time, so the enhanced look and drivability would fall on deaf ears...

Also, black on brown is my favorite...but wife says they clash... Anyway, I think its beautiful. Well done sir.

Thanks, and as far as the 20s go. It is more work to drive it. It does catch a lot more bumps and grooves in the road than the smaller tire / wheel combos out there, but the tires are wider than the rims so the wheels are actually protected somewhat from curb rash. Which is nice. I don't know how they are on the 19s. We have the top view cameras. So seeing the curb and angle trajectory makes it easy to parallel park, and get within the lines of parking spots easy.

As far as them clashing. Everyone has their own tastes. I personally wear brown and black clothing together, but tastefully.
