Any idea? Rough and wobbly engine idle when starting car after a few days of sitting

Hello all,
I've noticed that on three or four occasions now, after I let the car sit for three+ days or so and go to turn it on, the engine seems horribly unbalanced, like the timing is off, or a cylinder Isn't firing. Kinda has the bogging feeling like its running out of gas. Does not make any metal clinking sounds just a sound like its gasping, for air/fuel When I tap the gas to try to settle it it down. After a few seconds the car idles and runs fine and continuous to do so until the next time I try to start it after it sits for a while. Any ideas??

Thanks and happy New Years!

Forgot to say I have a 2002 330ci manual with 110k

I would start with changing the fuel filter since the Fuel Pressure Regulator is built into it and if worn will not hold the necessary residual pressure for good start up.
Also, check the bottom vacuum line from the F connector on the intake duct just behind the MAF sensor.
That vacuum line runs down to the FPR and if it is deteriorated it can also cause same issue.
Buy some new 3.5 MM vacuum line and replace it when you change the fuel filter. There is a 3 inch piece of this flexible vacuum line on each end (F connector and FPR side) with a couple feet of hard plastic line in between. Any or all of it can crack or loosen, especially on the FPR side, which has a tiny/brass nipple that worn vacuum line can leak around.

To test it, you can blow into the line once you remove it from the F Connector- should be no leak/blowby.

BTW- be careful when removing this vacuum line from the F connector so as not to tear the intake boot where the F connector inserts into it.
