Center Nut on Basket Weave Wheels

The center plastic nut on one of my wheel caps is freely spinning. This causes an annoying squeal and makes it impossible to twist off the center cap to expose the lug nuts. How do I get the center cap off? Has anybody had this problem before?

Every 120* of rotation the nut should reach a point where the locks are released on the cover. Just play with the location of the nut it and it should come off.

I've never heard of this problem before. Something new!

Attempted to no avail. It spins and spins without ever coming off..

Time to break out the big screwdriver. You got no choice at this point.

That's what the folks at BMW where saying, is that really my only option? And if so, is anybody aware of center caps for Basket Weave style wheels that are reasonable?

if they are 14" wheels just do whatever you want to get them off, they are a dime a dozen. if you have the optional 15" weaves though, DONT do that as they are virtually impossible to buy these days.

How else would you get them off then, Andy? Pry out the center roundel and hope you can get to the lock ring to move it?

They are 15"

I see plenty of center caps for 15" weaves. Not cheap, but neither are the ones for the 14" wheels, either.

not for E30s you don't? E34s there are thousands but they are different part. if you are sure you mean for E30s give me a PM
