About to pull the trigger on these lease deal

So according to my guy I have to get an application signed buy today because the holiday rebate expires tonight.

535i xDrive Sedan
3.0 liter, 6-cylinder engine with TwinPower Turbo technology
xDrive, intelligent all-wheel drive
Base MSRP $55,400
Jet Black $0
Cinnamon Brown Dakota Leather $0
Anthracite Wood Trim $0
M Sport Package $2,900
Premium Package $1,500
Navigation system $1,900
Real Time Traffic Information $0
Park Distance Control $750
Rear-view camera $400
Online Information Services $0
Destination & Handling: $895
Total MSRP as Built $63,745
39 month lease. 12,000 miles per year all fees, taxes etc up front.

The quote is:
$630/month lease payment
He is also to get me the tire and wheel insurance for $1,000 which is like $800-$900 less then everyone else in the NY area. I will discuss with him if I add this into payments or just pay at drive-off.

I am waiting for a call back to discuss this deal because something does not add up. Last quote I got in a few months back for same car was $695. Now its down to $630....so $2,000 cap cost reduction would make sense bringing it down from $695 to $630 but then it looks like it is also subtracted from my drive-off (unless I am reading it wrong). Something doesnt add up.

Payment Details
Term 39
Base Payment 630.00
Total Payment 630.00
Purchase Option 36,972.10
MSRP 63,745.00
Est. Miles Per Year 12,000
Disposition Fee 350.00
Excess Mileage Charge 0.20

Amount Due at Signing

1st Month Payment 630.00
Acquisition Fee 725.00
Upfront Taxes 2,285.86
Total Inception Fees 3,640.86

What is your negotiated price (before any cap cost or holiday cash)?
Did you get clarity on the Money Factor and residual?

you are missing two pieces of information, the selilng price and money factor. Assuming that you get the 0.00125 rate (which seems to be the money factor for 24 and 36 months.. not sure about 39 months lease). The reduced cap cost (after the 2000 rebate) is about $58200 (so before the rebate it would have been 60200). Be aware that there are still some fee burying inside the reduced cap cost (tire fee, document fee etc. do your tax include motor vechicle licensing? In Califronia, I paid 495 or so for motor registration). The only sure way is to ask your CA about the number (my CA show me the calculation sheet...) in addition to the vechicle price. You have to judge if 60Kish is a good deal or not...

Ok so a little change. He (nor anyone right now in my area) has the exact build so there is another car he can get that has a few more options (HUD, multi-contour seats, some other stuff) MSRP is $66,895 instead of $63,745 like the car I first quoted.

New payment is $665/month.
Selling price: $61,800
Money factor: 0.00125

residual is 58%

Drive off: $3,790.50.

_____

Edit: forgot to add this:

Payment Details
Term 39
Base Payment 665.00
Total Payment 665.00
Purchase Option 38,799.10
MSRP 66,895.00
Est. Miles Per Year 12,000
Disposition Fee 350.00
Excess Mileage Charge

Amount Due at Signing

1st Month Payment 665.00
Acquisition Fee 725.00
Upfront Taxes 2,400.13
Total Inception Fees 3,790.13
Rebate as Cap Reduction 2,000.00
Total Drive Off 5,790.13

-2000.00

Total Cash Required on Delivery 3,790.13

DMV is a few hundred $ in my area.

Also in the $66,895 .... $895 of it is destination and handling.

I am paying a 1000 a month for the same car. I would jump all over this if I could.

Thanks. I went ahead and filled out the credit app and he has the car on hold for me.

The one thing I had to give up was the anthracite trim he only had dark wood but I guess in the grand scheme of things its not a big deal and I'm getting a lot of other options I didn't originally want and only costing me $35 more per month.

I now have to decide about getting the tire and wheel protection and whether or not local dealers will even accept the insurance but coincidentally the company is a sponsor here on Bimmerfest. So I have to research it some more being its only $1,000.

You could bring the monthly payments down further, by putting down Multiple Security deposits; which are 100% refundable at the end of the lease.. Did not know if you are aware of that option.

Each security deposit is equivalent to one month's payment rounded up to the nearest $50. For each security deposit the money factor is reduced by 0.00007. The max number of security deposits is seven. So for my lease, I put down 7 MSDs which reduced the money factor by 0.00049 to a very nice 0.00076. The MF reduction on my X5M is saving me ~$75/month. For a 5er, the monthly saving will be around $35-60/mo.

Invoice is $61,700.

Sales price is $61,800...so $100 under invoice. Is that considered a good deal?

Before or after incentives? You should be about $500 over invoice BEFORE they apply the incentives.

Hmm not sure maybe after? The $2000 credit was cap cost reduction. All I know for sure is the payment is like $65 less per month than I was quoted 2 months back before there was a holiday credit. So I guess that reduction is due to the holiday credit.

Ill send you his info. I leased my Mercedes from him 3 years ago and so did a lot of people on mbworld.org and we all got sick deals . I don't know what his actual role is in the whole process but he can get any foreign car not just BMW . You can pick the car up from him in Brooklyn or the dealership where the car will be or delivered to you for free if its not currently on the lot. He's real good and super fast email replies.

My understanding is that multiple security deposits are not allowed in New York, that's why I leased my June ED 535xi in Tenafly, New Jersey.

That is not a bad deal - I shopped around for a very long time and am not paying that much less on a less optioned car and had about the same drive off (though I'm in Texas so we have a significant increase in the tax burden). I also paid $1000 for the tire & wheel - tried very hard to get it lower but that was the best I could do.

My sales price before incentives was $800 over invoice and I had $2750 in incentives (got screwed out of $2k but that's another story).
