Peake code 19 96

My 2001 E39 SES light on, peake code is 19 96. I change two pre-cat O2 sensors and clear fault code. Start engine and drive for a while, no SES light on. But after turn off engine and start engine again the SES light come back and same 19 96 code. Please help

Inspect o2 sensor wiring...A friend with a e46 had o2 sensor codes because mice chewed the wiring.

Please provide the text description of the code.

Also, what symptoms are you observing?

19 96 is "Precat O2 sensor voltage, cyl #1-#3". It's not the sensor since you changed it. I would inspect the O2 cable for some damage (mice?).

The front one is cyl #1-#3 sensor? or the back one (close to passenger side).
Car runs ok, just a little shaking when warm up in the morning.

The cylinders are numbered 1, 2, 3, etc. from the front.

Any one know pre cat o2 sensor cable part number ? I can not find it in realoem.com

There are no o2 cable, it is just the sensor with the cable as a unit.
