Battery Cable Recall
So I've been reading about the recall lately and found out that our e60 hasn't had replaced yet. Would I be better off doing it myself or taking it the dealership?

No brainer, dealership since it should be free of charge. Plus I would want the record of it being completed in the cars history.
Why would not take it to the dealership? |

I posted about the battery recall several months ago. Watch out. When I did the recall my radio went out. My Idrive was fine however. I took it to the dealer to get it fixed and they told me that it isn't their fault. They checked my vehicle and found out there was something wrong with the cd changer in the car and that was messing up the radio. They disconnected it and now my radio works. They said to replace the cd changer, it would cost me at least $900. I am not the only one who has been getting issues on this forum. Do the recall at your own discretion.

^ that's something I would be worried about. I mean it seems like an easy Diy but with the dealer you would have a record for it.

I meant do it at the dealer at a risk. Not actually do it yourself.

Up to you. Some people got no problems. But some people like myself had problems. I hope you're dealership is nice. Lol.
