New Idrive/Nav coming !!

Interesting, but it does not say exactly which models are getting the new Idrive interface in August. And also of note is that this rolls out with the upper range cars ( certainly the 6 qualifies) but the X5 is more important?? Still can't comprehend the rational of BMW with upgrade rollouts.

Do what we did, we leased a 640GC for three years instead of buying. We'll probably buy the next one if it has all of the updates by then, new iDrive, soft close doors, auto trunk open / close, etc. That way you can have your cake and eat it too while you wait.

Will theirs be a upgrade/update download or be able to get any hardware for the already 2013 and below cars?

Good point, but whatever coupe/GT I get is going to be a buy not a lease. Low mileage weekend/pleasure car. And I am starting to look at other options as this has been a painful process waiting for BMW to get the 6er "complete". We don't even know that a auto trunk is coming for '14.
