How many days from production start to end?

Nice! I'm waiting to hear when mine will arrive at the dealer. It was released to carrier on Wednesday.

For the person that mentioned plant shutdown, I just finished a Performance Center Delivery with my mom for her X3 (I got one in July), and the plant has shut down for the holidays, however they told us that they weren't putting anything new into production, but they were finishing anything already on the line. Hopefully it will be quick, and could be why the completion dates for some have been moved up.

To the person getting carbon black - excellent choice! I personally couldn't be happier with it and you will feel the same.

On another not, the Performance Center Delivery was amazing! If anyone has the chance to ever go, I'd suggest it. Riding along for a Hot Lap was incredible, and everything else that I got do myself certainly made me put myself out there in a way that I never thought I would behind the wheel. But definitely worth it to experience it and see the way things work, as well as teach me a few new things.

Decided to order mine 12/11, same day my CA traded with another dealership to obtain production # that was next up for production, entered production 12/18.... Currently the 800 number says it is in the paint shop with estimated completion date of Jan 4. This is a change since yesterday when it just said "your vehicle is in production". Encouraging since I wasn't sure how holidays would delay things. Can't imagine it will take too long to deliver to PA so hope to get it soon!

Order placed 12/10; arrived at the dealer today; pick up tomorrow !

With me incredibly anal about keeping the exterior of our cars clean probably my favorite color combination of all available for the X3- love Carbon Black and Black Sapphire with the Mojave interior too. Mojave reminds me of an old belting leather briefcase of mine. But alas, our X3 is primarily for my wife and the interior with the Mojave and the black headliner made it too dark for her.

I have my eye on a 3 series to replace my RL. Maybe then.

Lucky you! Ordered mine 12/11 and it hasn't even left the factory yet, seems I got hung up because of the holidays. Oh the difference a day makes!

Order placed on 12/26, i do not have a production number yet. I heard that allocations for January are out, should they give me a production number since allocations are available?

Ordered mine back on December 6th. Still don't have a allocation number, due to a back order on the 3.0 Turbo engine and Harmon Kardon upgraded stereo. Dealer stated that a date should be available on January 10th.

I ordered the 4 cyl and the standard stereo so the above does not apply.

Got a production # but when I put the # on the BMW website to track the car it does not recognize it. I guess it takes coupe of days before it shows up.

Picked up today ! Love the Mojave !

It took about a week after I got the vin# before the website would let me register it. Once i registered it and it said "production begins", it only took about 4 days before the status changed to "production end". I can't wait to get my new X3 35i!

How long ago did you order it? Did they mention how long it would take to get to Korea?

I'm actually taking delivery of it in the states, not Korea. I did order it through a Korean BMW dealer though. I was told it could take up to a month for delivery.

I found the BMW site behind any updates my dealer was able to provide me. I think it took me no more than 30 days from the day the order was placed to the day it arrived at dealer.

Car was a 2013 Deep Sea Blue X3 28i. I live in Denver, CO.

Really have been enjoying this car! Love the Mojave! Personalizing all the settings for my wife and me ! Like how you can adjust how far he tailgate opens; this helps so it doesn't hit the garage door ! More to follow .

That's from the BMW site? The site is at least 2 days behind. Call your dealer. You may be into your X3 by the weekend.

It's usually pretty quick on the East Coast. Mine got released to the carrier on July 1st and arrived at the dealer on July 2nd! If you call your dealer, they should know when the truck will be making the delivery.

I live in the Midwest. Ordered on 10/30, delivered to dealer 11/19.

In my experience the BMW site is not the best with updates.

So for the past week I am getting the message from the 800 number saying "the vehicle is scheduled for production with no confirm production date", any ideas what that means and how long it takes before you actually get a production date or week?
