No turbo boost

Hi everybody!
Can anyone help with this one please?-
X5 3.0 diesel not boosting turbo,therefore bo power up hills,turbo working but only boosts once or twice then car is a slug!!any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks!!!

Turbo BMW's are still rare over here so I do not think many will be able to assist. You could try xoutpost or one of the UK based BMW boards. From my limited knowledge of turbos I can only suggest a stuck open waste-gate valve as your problem.

I had a similar problem which turned out to be a broken nipple on the vacuum accumulator tank for the turbo. It is the small plastic tank on the drivers side in the engine bay with a hose connection at each end. There was absolutely no acceleration up to 2500rpm.
I used SuperGlue as a temporary fix. Hope this is your problem as it was an easy repair.
