My dad's is far from complete, it still needs a whole interior (we have it all ready to install, but we just have to tear the old stuff off and install the leather and foam in the seats, restore the door cards, refinish all the metal and vinyl on the dash, and place down new sound deadener + carpet.

Yeah, my dad's Chevelle is just a driver, not a show car. It's rust free (a rarity in the Midwest), but it could use paint, an interior refresh, and some better mechanical bits. Still a fun car though. It's what I learned to drive a manual trans on in high school, and to this day, it still holds the record of being the stiffest clutch pedal I've ever encountered.

I'm jealous of people who get to drive old iconic cars in their original unfcuked around with form.

Yeah, well, most people in high school thought my GTO was some old clunker because it was so loud it set off car alarms when starting up. Those who knew what it was gave me props, but most people were clueless.

Same thing with my Monte carlo SS, kid though his 4.6 auto mustang vert was cooler than my 406ci Monte

and that my car was just an old loud pile.

Then I painted it, and everyone though it was great.

The funny thing was that the dads of my girlfriends were always stoked about my GTO, and wanted to go out and cruise, do burnouts, etc. Reliving the glory days...

What color is that blue? GM Marina Blue Metallic? I painted a couple of cars that color. Love it. That and Briar Blue Metallic were my favorite GM OEM colors.

man...all of this muscle car talk makes me miss my old pontiac...looked about like this one, blue with the black top. the interior was pretty clean, no rip or sags in the headliner.

sold it to my buddy who dropped in a 400 from a gto, who then sold it to another guy who gave it to his kid who promptly wrapped it around a phone pole...

It was 2006 Chevrolet "Colbalt" Blue (color not the car )

It was supposed to be darker, but i put a bright silver base under it to make it pop more

This is what it looks like with out silver base:

The Snowflakes are the only ones I DO like, which is surprising, since I have a thing for five spoke wheels.

Good luck on those door panels. Worst. Job. Ever. MANY of us have tried multiple types of glue and methods to reattach the coverings without success.
