2006 525i idle misfire/stumble
hey guys,
I have a 2006 525xi with an n52 engine and a bad idle misfire/stumble. The car has no check engine light. I've done some research about my problem and i've been pointed toward an idle control valve or a valve on the side of the intake manifold. Does my engine even have an icv? Upon investigation all I see is a throttle body. My n52 does not have the valve in the side of the intake manifold or above the throttle body (i.e. idle valve). I also took the seafoam route. This fixed the idle issue briefly. Sadly after about 10 miles of driving the problem slowly came back and is now exactly as bad as it was. I'm stumped. Can anyone give me some tips? thanks so much Ed |

Did you read the diagnostic codes? Code(s) point to the Idle Control Valve?
Check DISA valve and see if it needs cleaning or broken. Last edited by pcy; 01-05-2013 at 01:11 PM. |
