Steering column - vertical adjustment

My 750i has electric steering column adjustment as I think they all do. The reach adjustment works fine but the up and down doesn't work at all. If I move the switch up and down I can hear the motor attempting to do something but I get no movement.

Has anyone encountered this before?

no - but I wouldn't mind disabling the ability for the wheel to retract every time I get out of the car just to minimize that from happening.

Got the same problem with my car,don't understand what is going on in that steering column,feels like it's hiting something.

Mine does the same thing too...seems like one day, all of a sudden it just stopped moving vertically...

Try the link above as it worked like a charm for me and it wasn't a tricky fix either.

I will try this mines does not go up and down on a 06 750li
