Unhappy Left Window Regulator

I need to change my left window regulator assembly.

Does anyone know of a good DIY guide?

Thank you for your help.

Danny

The Bentley manual describes it pretty well. That's the best description I know.
Also near the top of the page on the right is a button labeled "Search this Forum." You can use that to find dozens of helpful threads.
On the E36 forum, there is this thread that describes how to remove your door panel: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=114629
After that, you need to have the window about 1/3 of the way down, remove the triangular window and track, then slide the window forward to the slots in the track and pull it out. After that, it's just a matter of unbolting the regulator.

That link does not seem related to buying the Bentley Manual.

I bought one from Amazon.com:
http://www.amazon.com/BMW-Z3-Service...+repair+manual

But I also like to have such manuals in PDF form on the computer for quick searching, and there are several sites that offer free download of the Bentley Manual for an E36 BMW, which is mechanically similar to the Z3. Do a google search on:
Bentley_BMW_3-Series_Service_Manual_(e36).pdf

Thank you for the feedback.

I got a copy of the Bentley_BMW_3-Series_Service_Manual_(e36).pdf. I did not see anything that covered removing the window regulator. Maybe I missed the correct area.

Look under "512 Door Window".
