Exclamation Driver seat stuck

When attempting to put my Driver side window back on track, when pushing myself back up off the ground, I stupidly used the side of the seat. I didn't realize that my control box was loose, and smashed it. Smoke, and sparks. Well, my seat is all the way back and I can't use my control box to move it forward, making driving the manual very difficult.

ANYWAY, I took the control box off of the passenger side and tried to move my seat forward with that. Didn't work, but it does work on the passenger side. I was wondering if there is anything else that I should look at before buying a new control box. (I know I sill need a new control box, but I want to be sure there is nothing else that may be wrong since the passenger side one didn't work.)

Someone please help! My first BMW, and I love it!

You can move it manually with a hand drill, no control box needed.

Okay cool, that will be a good temp fix. Is there anything OTHER than the control box, and the fuse that may need replaced?

Thanks a lot though!

If that's all that was broken then it should be good after you replace those components. Junkyard is probably the best way to go.

and no problemo.
