'00 Z3M/R - Scanner and Reset Tools?
Hello Everyone!
I'm looking to buy some tools to support my various DIY projects and maintenance etc... I have been looking at those PEAKE tools. What do you folks recommend I pickup? The error code scanner, service reset, and SRS reset? BTW, does the PEAKE scanner provide all the error codes, or just some? Is it better that I pickup a universal ODB2 scanner, if so, which? Please let me know what you think. Also, being an owner of a Z, are there any particular "specialized tools" that you feel you just can't NOT LIVE WITHOUT? Mahalo in advance! TC

I have two peak tools. One for the airbags and one for the codes. I'ts enough for me. But someone can probably give you a tip on a computer alternative. But, the most important tool for me have been the Bentley manual. It's not perfect but it is damn good. Need for tools all depend on what issues you have now, and will have in the future. This website is then another superb tool to find information about what you need.

Thanks Kornknarr!
Got the Bentley Manual. Yeah, that helps a ton; and most certainly the Bimmerfest folks! I'll keep looking at the computer tools... Thanks! TC

I think the internet is great. Here we are discussing our cars and we live 11083 km or 6889 miles apart...
I have a small feeling that maybe your climate is just a teeny weeny little bit more suitable for a roadster then ours... :-) Our only advantage is that we have a long dark winter when we can't drive our jewels and therefore can spoil them in the garage. Cheers! Per |
