Rain over - Pix of 2013 535i CBM

Well finally the SoCal rains are over until next week so decided to take some pix of the new car to share with you folks.

I leased it for 2 yrs. My first BMW and I love this car. I am from the Lexus crowd and have had several GS's in the past. After buying our MB GL last yr, I wanted to taste the BMW as well and seems like it was a great choice.

I got the MSport w paddle shifts, Prem, Driver assist, NAV/SAT/Traff (Not tech) pkg in CBM with blk interior. Love the color.
I guess i do have some leeway when it comes to modding so I have considered a lip spoiler and 20"rims. Understanding the LCI next yr and the 4 series (M4 is drool worthy) I think i made a good choice of leasing to give me some buying power later. For now, loving this car.

I am at 500miles and have seen 2 issues:
1. When reversing th driver side side view mirror does NOT tilt down
2. When headlights in AUTO mode, there is amber light turns on in the front (next to headlight) and turns off after I drive around for a while. wtf? When i switch the lights to manual mode, the light turns off immediately. why?

Car looks beautiful and many happy and safe miles. Make sure the adjustment switch for the mirror is on the drivers side and the mirror will tilt. If the switch is on the passenger side it won't tilt.

The driver's side mirror will not tilt down; only the passenger one does when you toggle the function on via the small button under the mirror control on your door panel. Not sure why you would want to get the driver's side down given the feature is really meant for parallel and curb parking.

NeoBMW, had mine for 1mo and mirrors do the same thing, and too was thinking wtf. havent noticed the lights misbehaving

To parallel park on the left side of a street, just the same way you parallel park on the right side of a street. There are one way streets which allow street parking on both sides.

It would really be nice if the driver’s side mirror tilted down. I was also surprised that it didn’t.

I find this to be very odd as well. I Don't get it. But if others are stating as the norm, I guess it is.

BTW, you probably wouldn't need your HVAC set to 76 if you had your red / blue dial in the middle instead of all the way on blue.

Since this is your first BMW, thought I'd point that out. The dial between the center vents is an override for the upper vents. Very useful if the A/C is blasting a bit too cold because of sun, or if you get a bit chilly in the shade but it's not that cold.
