Sad - But leaving the BMW Family for now....

Hey guys, well after a great 3+ years with my 07 335i I sadly am parting ways. Running out of CPO warranty, getting higher on miles (60k) needed tires etc. It was time to move on. My first choice was a 08+ m3, but decided it would be better in my financial situation to not purchase one out of warranty(what i can afford). I loved the 335i, and plan to have an m3 for my next car in 2-3 years.

Thank you all for all your help, i will continue to visit and keep up on BMW's as i love the car.

So my last question... What is a good audi forum that is simliar to this as i love the community here...

Guess that gives a hint on what i got... Traded in the 07' 335i and got a 2011 Audi S4 prestige fully loaded. v6 Supercharged AWD(they are no longer v8's, faster lighter more fuel efficient). So far loving the car, only been a few days. (see pics below).

Hope you all enjoy the comparision pictures, although its not an s5(coupe, which is slower and a v8) they are still very simliar in size.

Audi looks great. I've owned 3 Audis and spent a lot of time on the audiworld forum. Haven't been out there in about 5 years, so not sure how it is now, but though it was pretty good at the time. Very similar to bimmerfest.

Audizine or Audiworld. Quattroworld also has a tight community but the format takes a lot of getting used to.

Popped over to AudiWorld and QuattroWorld just now for curiosity. Looks kinda slow. Last post in the B8 forum on AW was about 5:40 pm today. It appears the last B8 forum post on QW was a couple of days ago.

edit: Audizine looks just slightly better. Only 63 people in the forum at the moment.

S4 is a formidable opponent to the BMW You'll love it ... come back and visit now and then.

www.audiworld.com is your best bet. I've been on there for years, since buying a 1998 Audi A4 QTip.

60k miles is not up there. I've heard people stick with the OLD mentality that 100k is a lot of miles (really, it's nothing), but 60k? That car is still a baby!

Gratz on the new ride. Don't worry, we will accept you with loving arms when you come crawling back to the fold. You know you will, we know you will...you just put yourself through unnecessary pain. Sort of like saying "Hey, I know heroine will kill me, and the detox is crazy painful, but I want to try it anyhow". Except you won't get a fun high. The fun high is BMW. Audi is low and slow, and not even the low and slow kind of fun either! ;D

If my car were to be totaled or stolen, the S4 would immediately be on the short list to replace it.

Completely agree. Unless your experience is not typical, you'd have a lot of great, economical experience ahead with your 335. Maybe even with no car payment. It's your money, but I think you might be saying goodbye too early.

Thank you and thank you all for the kind words.

I guess what I said came accross the wrong way, the cars been reliable and no major issues, but i guess i used the warranty as an excuse to get something new. I agree 60k is far from high milage. Mostly got a promotion at work, new year, single, extra money to spend on a gf(my car ) gotta take advantage of it .

I'm also selling my JB+ in the classifieds section if anyones interested!
