[E92] Kickdown problem

Hello,

Im having some trouble with my car... I have a E92 335i Coupe Automatic 2007. The problem I'm having is when I use kickdown the car changes gear too high up(7000rpm) and the Engine Warning Light comes on. The light stays on untill I turn the engine off. It's like the car is hanging in 7000rpm for 2 or 3 seconds (what I know, is not good..)

I went to the garage, but there aint an error that has something to do with this..
When I drive normal, so no kickdown, I dont have this problem...

Can anyone help me please?

If you have a code reader, you should be able to pull the code from the DME and discover the cause of the light. It could be something minor like the throttle pedal actuator, or a transmission issue.

thanks, I took the car my car dealer and he said there were no errors...
What is very weird

Anybody else knows what it could be?

Just want my car to work perfect

Without data from the car's systems?

Yes. It's your transmission.

Did you expect something more specific?

Excellent idea: See a dealer for diagnosis - they have the electronics to do so.

Yeah I took it to my car dealaer but he did not saw any errors...
maybe i'll take it to another one.

I also think its the kickdown or the transmission but it just freaks me out I cant find the same problem online...

Jumpin' Jehoshaphat! They don't know the equipment - this is an authorized BMW dealership?

If you had a dash light illuminate, there should be a stored code.

The car is going back to the dealer next wednesday, I hope they find it and fix it fast...

Dealers here, maybe Europe too, do not work on transmissions.

Don't understand why. How hard could it be? Instead, they R&R the whole tranny.
