Insanity. Once cars hit a certain age owners are going to DIY replace the battery. This post is saying those owners will do $2,300 worth of damage.

That "blog post" is just a scare tactic sales pitch. Sure any fool at any time can cause a disaster doing anything. If you're reasonably careful, understand the basic procedure for changing a battery, use the right tools (yeah, you CAN do the entire job with a set of Vise Grips if you're determined) and know your limitations, you'll be ok.

Yeah FUD. I didn't look at the rest of the blog but if it the same the author should be thoroughly ashamed.

Just skim read it.. mostly total cr4p. Look at this quote: "You must change your oil every 5,000 miles" or apparenty the syntheic oil turns to a plastic film. What a bozo

When was that? Last time I checked, Walmart doesn't sell the Everwhatever in size 94r/H7. In fact, they didn't list any batteries for E9x series bimmers, except for some diesel models. You would have to get an H8. Sam's Club may have the H7 size.
