After a short while with Audi I am proudly returning to BMW. I am getting a 335MSport, 6MT, DHP, 19" etc...

Now if ordered I am told it will take roughly 10-12 weeks to get the car as there are, "few 335's" allocated right now.

In your opinions, is it worth ordering new in July to ensure a 2014 and any changes that may go along with it? So much talk of updated nav and potential engine changes gives me pause.

Really welcome the advice.

TY

My personal take on this is: get it while it's hot! And... 335i certainly is right now. The car is already refined and so technologically advanced it will take you a good month to learn and get used to all it has to offer. The N55
truly comes to life in the 2012 BMW 335i and makes its case as one of the greatest powerplants ever designed by the vaunted Munich minds
according to automedia.com

There will ALWAYS be something else and something new around the corner. I know people who spend most of their lives waiting because the next thing is going to be even better (not saying you would but it's easy to take it to the extreme in today's world where information and predictions about the near and far future are so easily accessible).

I don't like to debate. I like to drive! - hey, maybe I should put this into my signature.... ;)

I tend to agree. You'll always be waiting for what's around the corner. If you place your order on July - you'll probably wait about 8 weeks at least anyway so you're talking about waiting really about 8 months from now. LCI changes for 2014 may come with a bump up in price as well. I'm sure they'll add a few things and make them standard. I guess the biggest question is if they will upgrade the engine.

I hear what your saying and agree but would honestly be disappointed if the engine were upgraded and I had the car for 4 months...
Then you answered your own question. If you will be disappointed with a potential engine upgrade then go ahead and wait. You can always mod/chip your n55 as well don't forget for what is likely below the bump in base price for the 2014 model year.

it wont be a new engine, probably it will just come standard with what the ppk give you.

but you should wait, that way we wont have to hear about it if they did change lol
