General questions I haven't seen the answer to

Just got my 2013 328i xDrive last week and I've got some questions.. Haven't seen these answered elsewhere, so if they have been I apologize for rehashing..

1) Is there some kind of break-in tune on the cars? i.e. lower boost, earlier power die off, etc? I'm not thrashing the car, but the top of first seems weak.
2) Is it common for the car to "settle" and get a little lower as the miles get higher? Similarly to a car settling after a new set of springs are installed.
3) In the manual it mentions being able to change the settings for Sport mode. I can't find that anywhere, I assume that is part of a package I don't have?

Thanks!

Oh, top of 1st during break-in? Check out page 156 of the owner's manual. Look for the section titled 'Breaking-in Period'.

change the settings for Sport mode can be coded on any f30. You're not missing out if you don't have it btw, its more of a gimmick than anything else (imo)

Ok, I was most interested to see if you could change shift points, shift harshness, throttle mapping, and stuff like that. If you can't do that then I'm not really worried about it.

Thanks!

None of those unfortunately. As far as I've seen it's just selecting if the sport mode should change drivetrain or chassis or both.

I haven't been here long, but I also have an F30 question I haven't seen answered.

F30 Sport Line (not M Adaptive) vs F30 Sport Line (M Adaptive in Sport mode)

Are these setups the same, or is the M Adaptive Sport Mode a better handling ride?

I like a sporty ride, so I doubt I'd really select away from the Sport Mode much, but if M Adaptive offers a stiffer, racier ride than the plain Sport Line suspension, then I'll pay for it. If it doesn't, are there any other good reasons to get it?

Appreciate all answers from those of you who know!

ETA: Also, how do the above suspensions stack up to the M Sport suspension...or is the M Sport package more cosmetic as I've heard.

:confusedbyallthepackages&options:

No, there's not a break in specific "tune" (e.g. the car doesn't limit the power or anything during break in). What you're noticing seems consistent with the dyno runs of the N20 engine -- power tapers off then drops, quite a bit before redline.
