Painted calipers

Anyone here painted their brake calipers? Thinking about doing it but not sure if I want to go with blue or red and also not sure if I should just paint the caliper itself or do the surrounding bracket also. Any thoughts or pictures? Thanks, Mark

It is very easy to do with high temperature paint, just clean the caliper well. I don't think I would paint the bracket.

Mark,

What color is your car? Painted calipers in complementary colors can sometimes really make the exterior color "pop".

Those are painted. Easy to do with the right type of paint and well cleaned. You can keep them on the car when doing it as well. Just lots of paper and tape to cover everything.

That looks great!
Can I ask what tinting levels your car is? Mine is white too and want to tint it but debating ti get 35 all around and 50 in front. Not sure how that would look.
Yours look good for the driver side. Your rear looks little but darker.

It is 35% front windows 20% rear windows and 15% back window. This way cops can see me in the driver seat well enough to not ticket (usually) and then kind of a fade to almost limo as it moves back.

At the end of the day springs or coilovers and new wheels and tires is the easiest way to get performance improvement and a visual one as well. Look at BC Racing for high quality and affordable coilovers and 2 piece forged wheels.

On a budget look at Eibach and H&R for performance springs. There are a million wheel manufacturers so make sure you do some research to see what people are saying about quality and weight.

And above all else, remember the mods are for you so dont let other people get you down. The haters always chirp louder than those that like something. If you like it...do it.

Hey Sea Ray, I have a black 525 and I painted the calipers blue to match the BMW logo blue... I also had a 525i emblem made for the side of the car and it goes excellent with the calipers.. I didn't paint the bracket.. didn't think it really needed it.. Sorry no photo yet..
I also went with blue because everybody seems to paint them red..
Have fun, good luck.

I'm leaning towards red even though my car is estoril blue. I think the splash of color would be cool. Was hoping someone else on here has already done this so I could see a pic on a blue car. Mark

If you look in the ED forum, someone just posted a re delivery of their car with red calipers and estoril blue exterior.

If you can do without your car for a week I'd send them off to get powder coated. It's a little more initial investment, but if you plan to keep the car a while it'll pay off 10 fold. It would suck to have to keep repainting because of chipping just to end up powder coating them.

They are actually BMW m performance parts. Go to bmwusa.com and click on accessories the m performance to find them. Your dealer sells them in white or black. I am dying to see the white on an eb11 car.

You might need to have them do custom stripes. I don't think the 3 series one will fit.

By any chance, did you got the stripes installed by Rolotech? The owner was telling me about an F30 with Red calipers that was at their shop getting the stripes and whiskers wrapped.
