My new 98 750iL

Just recieved the new to me 1998 750 that I'd been shopping for. It is completly stock except for the aftermarket mpars. Just over 35,000 original miles and runs, drives and looks great (at least I think so). The issues I've found are the typical broken cup holder, glove compartment latch and a very poor sound system. I have always been a Cadillac man, but I am very impressed. This fourteen year old car is more solid than the new DTSs I've owned. One gripe...how can a car that was over $93,000 new, not have automatic headlamps?? What was up with that? Can't wait to get it out for a weekend road trip!

You should have DSP with this car. Yes it could be better, but 'very poor'? The subs across the rear shelf are small, and are known to fail, so maybe check out...

Yes, it does have DSP, but the drivers door 5.25" was one steady load screech, and some of the rear deck speakers are crackling fairly badly. I've unplugged the drivers door until I get some replacements installed.

Vanos issues apply only to the 4.4L?

Any issues that I should watch for with the V12? Any preventative maintenance that I should consider? Coolant flush and fill - Done. New rotors and pads - Done. Engine intake and throttle body intakes replaced. This was all done withing the last 1500 miles.

Sunroof was said to not operate correctly, which it didn't at first, but I did the reset procedure and it seems to work perfectly.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks!
