BMW lease end Charges

I am still playing up between leasing and buying the car. Just wanted to know from people who have leased a BMW before and returned it recently.

How much does BMW charges for each damage on the car. I heard they have it listed on the lease return form. Does someone post a copy of that form ? Or like if you scrape the underside chin of the M Sport Bumper, how much should i expect bmw to charge me ?


Also does safe guard insurance a good idea for excess wear and tear ? The dealer is offer me for $1250 for 3 years which covers $5000 worth of stuff including low thread tires ?

I haven't returned one recently, but my 3 prior experiences with bmw have been very positive at lease return...no hidden charges after the fact. At turn in they send you a sheet with all of the criteria for wear and tear charges.

Recently returned 2010 535i and had positive experience. No hidden charges. No surprises. Charges were as lister on end of lease form. Same positive experience as in past when I returned 850 long ago.

do you have a scan copy of those charges ?

It was a good experience when I returned my X5 in 2011. I did get charged for some cosmetic damage, but I knew I had a few dings. It was pretty cheap. The tires were also about ready to be replaced, but they didn't charge me for it.

How about scratched rims? Do they charge for those? My regular car wash has been brutal on the rims. They are all scratched.

I think there is a $350 disposition chrage.

They also allow you to do a review prior to the turn in so you know what you are going to get dinged for when you turn it in. It lets you review and make a decision on any potential repairs.

I think the most I have ever paid with any lease was $600 including disposition fee.
