Europe is 3 ea. Double Layer Double Density DVD's and North America is 1 ea. 32 Gb USB Drive.

That code is probably for your current map year. You need a new one for 2013 Maps, and every time you update to a new version.

Bummer. I thought you could get the code once and then it would be good for the life of the car. I guess I'll be trying the FSC man or going the coding route and acquiring a cable.

I am not sure what you mean by "coding route", but you need an FSC Code no matter what. There is no getting around it.

What I meant was getting the ENET cable and using E-Sys to do coding, and using the SWID Reader to read the code.
