iPhone 3GS integration with 750i

So I have a 2010 750i - using Y cable to get my phone to change and play music thru it - also Bluetooth works fine. But no iPod integration.

So i want to use my old iPhone 3GS as an iPod ...

So I bought a cradle off eBay ... 84.21-2 158 683-01 is the part number on it.

It charges but does not show up in list of external devices - is that the right place to look?

Is my car have the right option to play music? I have the $150 "smartphone integration". Is this the infamous "S6NFA" that I need for to work?

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Make sure to disconnect the "Y" connector. The Y connector being plugged in overrides the cradle. I think this will do the trick for ya!
