A Harley! That's too much too soon. I have been working on Mrs D for years and my bicycle is nearly a permananet fixture in the family room, well at least during the warmer months. For a Harley, I would need a good twenty years to make that happen.

Hi DieWolf: you are the one who bought the white X5 from PeterXXX BMW in San Mateo? I was there last month and test drove the merino blue, I like the Blue, and the white one is sitting next to it. anyway, congrats on the purchase, how you like the xm5? I ended up getting a cayenne gts.

That's the one! I love every minute of driving it, thanks! How do you like the GTS? Maybe we'll race sometime lol...jk, so what was your deciding factor between the two?

Race? your X5m 0-60 4sec, my GTS is same as my 2013 535i 0-60 5.4 secs. I like the X5m and Victor(Chinese fleet manager) @ peterpan gave me $8000 off msrp, while Rusnak(southern los angeles) gave me $12000, SFbmw gave me $12k for a '12. my wife likes the cayenne's more feminie look. I'm crazy about the Monte Carlo blue, I love the heads up display, the camera with top view and side view. the payments are much much lower due to better least payments. BMW requires 650 FICO score to qualify, Porsche requires 760, and sales told me his client approved from MB 100K for an AMG, but decline for $70K loan at Porsche. I'm almost set on the X5m until....
we test drove the Cayenne S, (which is even more in least payment than a x5m, ridiculious!!!) and we went to all dealers in Nor. Cal. everyone gave us $1500, $2000, or MAX $2500 discount, until we went to Sonnen, they don't have S, they have GTS in stock, the sales push me into the car for test drive, which I KNEW I CANNOT afford it, I can't even afford an S!!!! My friend who owns BMW x5 5.0 drove, me and my wife didn't even bother. after the drilling test drive, my friend felt in, saleperson sat us down (I knew it would be waste of time), ending up driving off the lot with $8500 discount!!! least is little more than x5m, but ONE extra year (4 year least), 2 days later, dealer call me back, they cannot have the loan approved, although I have 765 score, but never least a car over $100k, (salesperson is right, Porsche financial is strict) ended up either I have to return the car, or buy it. I wanted to return it and least a x5m, but my wife.... SHE bought it...

I still miss the X5m Monte Carlo Blue, after I bought GTS, drove back to Peterpan, Victor is angry, don't see the white X5m, Blue still there, I think not everyone has the same tase as me, prefer white over this blue (with all due respect to you) ended up lease 535i ($500 a month, WOW!!! same performance as GTS) you see your car in the picture?

As long as your wife is happy, then everybody is happy! Lol

Good choice still, the Porsche looks sweet! Maybe one day you'll get your X5M...maybe even the next model in circa 2015! In the meantime, let's race your 535i against my 535i haha!

Wow..I just realized we have the same cars. A 535 and x5M. You are now my new fest twin (Dunderhi was my old fest twin, but since he traded his 5 and kept his 335d we are no longer twins).

Haha, nice! This just proves we have good taste in the best combo of bimmers! Rob aka 5seriesHB is our other twin (I think that makes us almost triplets). I'm accepting his X5 as a honorary M since it's an Msport lol...but then again he plans to rid himself of his 535i; traitor!

He just got that 535i from Greg last year. Oh well, to be twins we must be the same and so it remains that you and I are the only ones (that I know of) with x5M and 535i.

I bought mine 2 weeks ago for about 55% of sticker. . . It's a 2010. I needed to replace my Titan tow vehicle with something more fun and practical. After 30 or so cars over 20 years, this is my first BMW. I test drove P-car GTS, Turbo, and Turbo S, but was sold on the X5M after seeing it and driving it. Plus, the comparable P-cars were $10-20k more expensive. I still have a few Nissan Z cars in the garage, but plan to take the M to Sonoma Raceway for Wednesday night (bracket) drags. Though not nearly as fast as my Z, the M is much easier to drive, especially in bracket racing! DieWolfe, are you game to surprise people some Wednesday night?

I am actually towing my Z with the M to Laguna on 3/2 with TrackMasters, and plan to take the M out for a session or two. I was going to go 2/18, but just decided to punt until 3/2. I'll be at Sears/Sonoma this weekend with the Z as well.

Before I took delivery (waiting game after order) of my X6M I did some research into this and found a company down here that runs car track days. I used to club race motorcycles but have never had a car on the track, except a few laps at BMW Performance Center handling course, which was just a taste and not a full size track anyway. Still fun as hell, though!

Anyway turns out a guy in my office complex does these track days that I found in my research. So I am looking to take the X6M to Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR) likely sometime in March.

We should start an X5M/X6M track day photos and videos thread when the time is ripe! Nice to see I am not the only one here with this idea, although YouTube video search will show quite a few people have had this idea

Anyone down in South Florida that's interested, let me know!
