Roundel Stolen

not the happiest of posts, but my roundel was stolen right off the car in Virgnia. not sure what the black market value is for something like that, but I digress.

any suggestions on where to get a new one (i.e., through the dealership or somewhere else)? don't want to go on eBay because you never know what you're gonna get in that case.

it may have fallen off, but I doubt it. in that case, would that be covered under warranty?

Thank you! how do you determine whether or not someone is an "authentic" BMW reseller? if it's a bit more at the dealer I might be tempted to replace it there.

sold by qualityautomotiveparts1 @ebay $24.10. Seems legit, came in plastic with part number written in it. Might be same price at dealership

Keep your eyes peeled for this guy:

eBay isn't bad, just contact the seller and ask if they are in the box with the part number.
Personally I would go to the dealer and get one. They can get expensive if it keeps happening, and you may have to file a claim for hood damage as they can leave scratches in the paint with whatever they use to pry it off.

Roundel thefts used to be rampant here. Not so much anymore. Seems the kids are more into the KIA badges now.

Oh yeah by the way I replaced mind last summer. After a 3.5 hour drive from the City to the State, My roundel disappeared and I had a feeling the wind force is to blame. Also I've notice the original roundel doesn't seem to be that solid though seems like it was made to brake easily.

Didn't we have a master thread around here a couple of years ago dedicated to non-BMW cars photographed with BMW roundels and badges? Maybe it was just a web page someone linked to? Either way, it was absolutely hysterical.

Bought black and silver roundels for trunk hood and steering wheel 3+ years ago off eBay. $20 for all 3 and they still look great.
