Just to finish off this story I did buy the 523i SE. It's full of technology and electrics but not a colour I would have picked given a choice but it is a nice car. It is auto with steptronic, manual and sport settings and is quite lively under a heavy right foot.

However it's time to change over to the 5 series threads so thanks for the help which I've had whilst on the E36 bit.

Meh, not my cup o tea...but not the worst thing ive ever seen. With the right supporting mods it could be pulled off IMO

Yea they look clean on your white e36 .. I was actually looking at a set if those wheels and they're on sale right now. Bavauto I love them just haven't made up my mind on them yet ... Is your car an m3 ?
