My BMW has 40,000 miles on it. Had it to the dealership several times with the same issue. Kept sending me home with nothing wrong with it. This went on for several weeks. Finally dropped it off and said you need to find the problem and call me after its fixed. It had a burnt smell and let out steam under the hood when shutting off. They finally discovered it was the vent pipes cracked in the engine. Being a woman my question is: should I be concerned or did it hurt the life of my engine. Does anyone know what caused it? Did it harm the engine?
Thanks in advance for any help,
very concerned.
