Shoutout to bluebee:

I just wanted to give a holler to a member here, bluebee, for his OCD level of meticulousness in proliferating accumulated knowledge for the rest of us to benefit from. I have the good fortune of owning a post-vanos 525i as he does (and thus reap allll the benefits of his research ). I would have made this a private message but after repeatedly running into his threads via google searches, I figure many of you out there might feel the same way. I damn near flipped out when my drain plug imploded, but was saved by the extractor method to pull out the torn head in a bluebee thread.

Thanks bluebee! If you're ever in boston give me a shout!

(random side note regarding drain plug replacement due to breakage) did any of you find your replacement drain plug did not fit inside as easily as the original? I am scared that I left shavings around the threads because I did not use a magnet to clean out any debris before plugging it back in with a new drain plug, but the new one was very difficult to thread in (I could not turn it by hand, I had to use a bit of force with a socket wrench and it grudgingly turned in. I was so scared of breaking it, but it does not turn freely and I don't see any oil yet...)

As a newcomer I've been so impressed by bluebee's posts... But wasn't sure if she was indeed a she or not...but now with this affirmation I can say more than impressed, I'm in love! Well... at least a crush... Thanks Bluebee for making all this information so attainable for we newbies!

+2 I love the level of technical information she compiles (didnt know that she was a she) . She documents everything she does.

Bluebee is the best....and I love that it apparently isn't a bother when called the opposite gender because there's never a correction when anyone references Bluebee as "him or he". I've gotten to the point that I refer to Bluebee using genderless pronouns just to keep the mystery going.
