Just bought the N62 AGA coolant pipe..

As the title stated, I have just purchased this pipe and most of the components to install it. I opted out of the valley pan and gaskets as I had them replaced earlier this year by the dealership who told me that was my original leak issue. Clearly they were wrong when it continued to leak, and I was pretty frustrated at the total cost of my repairs.

Anyways, the pipe should be here in about 2 days, and I already have a place that knows how to replace the pipe, as they have done it before. Work should be getting done next week after I get paid.

I'll let ya'll know my total price when it's finished, but just to give you a couple more details...

BMW wants to charge me around $5800 for the whole thing. The shop I found will charge about $350-400 for the work, plus what I'm paying for the parts which is around $740(with 2 day shipping).

Totals:
BMW- ~$5800
Balta Auto- ~$1200

I would replace the valley pan again as I believe the seal comes with the new pan and I would be suspect of the seal if the pan was removed and reinstalled. New pan is cheap insurance.

It's not that bad of a job ,,I done it for friend of my on his 04 took me about three hours.
The trick is after everything been put back together ,turn the ignition on to position #2 and DO NOT START the car and wait about 5 minutes and let the Valvetronic motors re-set them self then start the car.

What is position 2? Is that just when you put the key in and tap the button? If so, I'll make sure the repair shop knows when I give it to them.

So, I've had the car back for almost a week now. Everything on the vehicle works great now. No leak at all.

So happy to finally get get started on getting this car back in total order.

Can you do us a HUGE favor and check your running temps for us? Moving and at idle? If you need help in doing it, you hold the cluster stalk down while running but at a stop. A menu will come up but keep holding, a second one will come up, then release and continually press until you get down to unlock, and add up the last 5 of vin and enter it in. Then hold stalk until back to the left side of menu and continually press until getting to sensor data and hold stalk on it until right side displays data.
