Went to the Imperial War Museum flying days at Duxford near Cambridge UK Sunday. The Tiger Moth Flight suffered from inflation. Now 119 but worth every penny. Beautiful weather and really cool flying over the P-51's, Spitfires, B-17 and others on the flight line.

Cheers

Short trip to Vienna and Budapest last week in Nov.

Cheap Biz Class fares make this an annual Euro trip. Copenhagen & Berlin were my previous destinations for this week.

Cheers

That looks like a blast! I worked on a ship a decade or so ago for a year and the most fun were the days in 40 foot seas and 80 mph winds. Yeah Buddy!

Fun was when captain made a 180 turn and 80 mph wind push ship on one side.

On my way for two weeks in Normandy. It'll be my 60th birthday so this year I got to chose the locale. The girls are gonna be bored to death but I have a virtual library of WWII books to guide me to all the sites. Can't wait to try Calvados and stinky cheeses. Alas, my rental is a Ford Focus or similar.

Willamette Wine region

Wifey and I used a business trip of mine to Seattle as an excuse to explore the Willamette Wine region and Portland over Memorial Day. It was my first time in Portland.

Amazing town (Portland). Hit ten wineries in two days. Fantastic food. Super cool people in excellent bars. Good times.

Highlight of the trip was two fold -
1. Breakfast at Pine Street Biscuits in Portland. Oh my, it was amazing.

2. Soter Vineyards - Absolutely the best vineyard we went to in two days of wine tasting. First time I've ever joined a wine club out of probably 50 vineyards I've been too. http://www.sotervineyards.com

For those interested, we stayed at The Nines in downtown Portland. Great hotel. Excellent service.

Heading to France and Italy next week!!Taking a small 50 passenger ship from Cannes to Corsica, a few other cities and eventually ending up in Florence. I think I'm going to skip seeing David for the 3rd time. Twice was enough. And, well, if you've seen the replica in Las Vegas you're pretty much seen it... I know... i know...

If you have time you should bounce over to Croatia and tour Istria. It is very beautiful country.

I agree. Croatia is beautiful. I had no idea it was so pretty there. Here's a few pics from when I was there.
