Water damage to on-board display

The window on my 1997 BMW 328ic E36 M52 was left open during a windy-rainy night, and when I found it the next morning, the inside was totally dripping wet!

Now the display (clock, time, etc) is just a foggy blur.

Can anyone advise me on how this can possibly be fixed (dryed out) or whatever?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, D
